Our latest meeting was a great success. We had about 24 individuals who showed up for our September meeting, we got some great business accomplished, and had a marvelous presentation on SOTA (Summits On The Air) by Doug, W1DMH. We also had a visitor - Ferenc, who is interested in getting his license. Paul, K1WO agreed to become a member of our technical committee, and Jeffrey, N1XUQ was nominated to fill the vacancy for Vice President.

The Great Bay Radio Association

The Great Bay Amateur Radio Assoc - W1FZ meets the 2nd Monday of each month. The Club meeting starts at 7:00pm at the Rochester Community Center on Wakefield St.(Rt.125)

The Great Bay Radio Association is an ARRL (American Radio Relay League) Affiliated Club founded in 1933. The Club participates in Public Service Events each year, including providing radio communications for the the Tour de Cure, Barrington Peeper 5k Run, Spirit For Recovery 5k, The Run For The Fallen and the Somersworth, Dover, Rochester Christmas Parades.

The Club provides Amateur Radio License Classes for all three levels of Amateur Radio. We also provide Test Sessions for those wishing to become an Amateur Radio Operator or those wishing to upgrade their exsisting license. The Club offers support to the local Amateur Radio Community in the form of help in erecting antennas, questions on operating procedures, help with setting up your first station, and hopefully, answers to repair and equipment problems. If you are interested in joining the GBRA, please attend a meeting. Everyone, licensed amateur or not is welcome. Dues are $20.00 per year per individual or $25 a year for a family membership.
